3 on 3 Rules

All USA hockey rules will apply unless otherwise noted below.

• No icing, Continuous flow of play.
• A penalty will result in an automatic penalty shot.
• No checking allowed.
• Players will change on the fly.

1. Game is ONE, 15 minute, running time period.
2. All penalties will result in a penalty shot.
3. The game clock will stop for penalty shots and during the last minute of play in a game.
4. Players will remain on the bench allowing 3 skaters to play at one time. You are not permitted to make a change on a whistle. Change on the fly ONLY.
5. No Icing or 2 line passes will be called.
6. Tag up offsides in effect.
7. No slap shots allowed. Result will be a face-off in the offending teams defensive end.
8. Any Game Misconduct penalty will result in the players removal from the tournament.
9. Playoff games that end in a tie will be decided by a shoot out.

Championship brackets will be decided as follows:

• Total Points (Win = 2pts; Tie = 1pt; Loss = 0 pts.)
• Goal Differential (goals for minus goals against)
• Least goals against
• Total Goals scored
• Head to Head
• Coin Flip

A hint for change on the fly: Coaches have one skater at the door on a face off and change as soon as the puck would drop.
