The purpose of the Methuen Youth Hockey Association is to promote the development of character and good sportsmanship in the youth of Methuen through hockey, to promote the game of hockey, and to hold and arrange hockey games.

MYHA COVID-19 Guidelines

If your skater or an immediate family member is not feeling well please do not attend practices/ games. Please wait to be symptom free for 24 hours.
If the skater or a family immediate family member are awaiting results of a Covid test please do not attend practices/ games.
If a skater tests positive please let the coach and MYHA President( know as soon as possible so we can begin to contact trace within MYHA.
If the skater has been identified as a close contact of someone that has tested positive please follow the directions of the local Board of Health.
If the skater is under quarantine said skater cannot attend practices/ games.
Please continue to follow guidelines set by the VHL, local rinks and Massachusetts Hockey.
We understand these are uncertain times with guideline changing daily and a second surge upon us.  Please reach out with any questions or concerns.  If any of our hockey families need any assistance during this time please reach out.

Methuen Ice Rink Guidelines
  1. Access to the ice rink will be from the rear of the ice rink only. The public will not have access to the school building. (see link below)
  2. There is one door to enter and another to exit (see link below)
  3. There are designated parking areas. PLEASE no double parking in the access ways. Vehicles may drive up and let players out and then must move the vehicle.
  4. There will be a hand sanitizing station as you enter the building and throughout the building.
  5. Face masks and/or coverings are required.
  6. Each team will be allowed 2 coaches and 2 team assistants to help with skates and monitoring the players (for practices).
  7. There will be no spectators allowed at this time.
  8. The bubbler/waterfill stations have been turned off. Players should bring their own water bottle.
  9. Renters of the ice time (teams/league) must keep an up to date list of players/coaches/assistants who enter the facility (for contact tracing purposes).
  10. There will be a pre-game area. Skaters would arrive dressed, not more than 15 minutes prior to ice time. This allows teams to get skates on and ready for their game/practice.
  11. There will then be a post-game area for teams to take off skates and proceed to the exit. Teams must leave within 10 minutes of coming off the ice.
  12. Locker rooms/showers will not be open.
  13. Players/coaches/assistants who exhibit any illness must not enter the building.
  14. Please no spitting within the facility.
