Alternate Policy

Alternate Players will be allowed to play on MYHA Travel Teams under the following conditions.

A. Requests for alternate player status must be submitted in writing by a parent or guardian using the MYHA registration process.

B. Each team may only have a maximum of two alternate players on their roster.

a.  Special circumstances can be considered, reviewed and voted on by the Board of Directors.

C. The cost of being an alternate on a travel team is $1,000.

a.  There will be NO REFUNDS for alternate players if they decide to leave during the season.

b.  If an alternate player at any point during the season decides to become a full-time player, then they will be billed the full dues of that player's team level.

D. Alternate Players are required to attend at least 1 team practice or skills session a week to be eligible to play in their team’s game that week.

a.  Special circumstances can be considered at the Head Coaches discretion.

                                    i.       Roster size for a particular game.

                                   ii.       Player absent due to illness or other extenuating circumstances.

E. Alternate Players will be eligible for tournaments at the Head Coaches discretion.

F. Alternate Players must play in at least 60% of the team's games to be eligible for playoffs.
