Learn to Skate
MYHA’s Learn to Skate program is open to children ages 4 and older. We teach the fundamentals of skating while helping kids develop a love for being on the ice. Participants are grouped by skating ability rather than age during ice sessions. No prior skating experience is required. If your child is younger than 4 but you would still like them to participate, please contact our Learn to Skate Coordinator.
Ages
Learn to Skate is open to all skaters ages 4 and older.
When
The Learn to Skate program runs from October through March.
Where
All Learn to Skate sessions will be held at Methuen High School.
Practices
Learn to Skate is held on Saturday mornings from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM.
Required Equipment
- Skates
- Helmet w/full cage
- Neck Guard
- Gloves
- Knee Pads
- Elbow Pads
- Hockey Pants (encouraged)
Jerseys
Jerseys will be provided to all registered skaters.
